Bob Jones, Executive Director

Newberry County Disabilities and Special Needs Board

The Newberry County Disabilities and Special Needs Board issued an RFP to remodel two communal restrooms. The restrooms were in very poor condition and had leaks that plumbers were unable to identify the source for years. We also wanted to add four ADA showers to upgrade the facilities for sheltering purposes. M.A.R. was awarded the contract. Their proposal was innovative addressing our requests and more. The M.A.R. Team developed a workplan to minimize disruption to our agency activities. The Team maintained excellent communication with weekly OAC meetings, responded to our concerns immediately, and accepted change orders willingly. The slab floor was removed and replaced. Tankless water heaters were installed. The end result was the timely completion of our restrooms that exceeded our expectations. The remodel has greatly enhanced our business center and transformed it into a top-notch sheltering facility, if needed. I can honestly say that this was the best construction experience that I have incurred. I recommend Tim, Jeff and the M.A.R. Team without any reservations.

Wayne Reed, Architect

TI Group

"MAR Construction built the most complicated roof we've ever done, at Daniel Island K-8 School. My relationship with the company founder goes back 40 years. I know the company will do what they say they'll do and for an architect, it doesn't get any better than that."

Randy Gibson, Executive Director

Lexington County Recreation & Aging

"They've built at least four senior centers for us as well as athletic facilities, complete renovation of Pine View Athletic Facility and construction of a miracle league athletics field. They built two gymnasiums for us and built our tennis complex.

We return to them for new projects because they're dependable and accomplish quality work. We've done lots of design build projects and we've always gotten a good quality building at a good price."

Phil Gardner, Director of Parks and Leisure Services

City of Hartsville

"From the very beginning, these are very professional, very friendly, likable people. They built a two-story, four-sided tower for me for a youth complex and were on the job immediately. One thing I really liked was that if they were stopped by inclement weather, they worked on Saturdays to make up for lost time. They also came to me with suggestions for improvements; they took my suggestions as well, and we met in the middle. We're very pleased with what we got and I have recommended them to several colleagues all over the state."

Dr. Everette Dean, Superintendent

Marion School District 7

"We found them to do high quality work, and we were very pleased with the job they did in our school district in renovating Brittons Neck Elementary. At Creek Bridge High school, they built the restrooms and concession stands for the football stadium. They did a fine job for us"
